ISB Dean Ajit Rangnekar to represent India in GMAC

ISB Dean Ajit Rangnekar has been appointed as a member of board of directors of the Graduate Management Admission Council (GMAC). The council is an association of global graduate business schools. The appointment coincides with ISB’s 10 years of existence.
Ajit is the only representative from India. The Council is expanding its operations internationally and will launch the Next Generation GMAT exam in June 2012.
"I am honoured to have been chosen as a member of the Graduate Management Admission Council. GMAC has established itself as a leading entity for prospective management students and Bschools, owing to its universal appeal, standardised format and greater transparency. As a member of the board, we aim to widen GMAC's ambit by extending its affiliation to other leading Bschools," said Ajit Rangnekar.
ISB is touted as the youngest institution to be ranked among the top 20 Bschools in the world.
Chairman of ISB Adi Godrej said, “This is a testimony to ISB's growing repute as a global business school over the last decade. We are confident that Ajit's vast experience in the education space and his zest for excellence will hold him in good stead and help him charter Asia's, and by extension, India's growth as the global destination for management education."
Rangnekar holds an undergraduate degree from the Indian Institute of Technology, Mumbai, before completing his post graduation in Management from the Indian Institute of Management, Ahmedabad. He has a background spanning over thirty years in Consulting and Industry across different countries in Asia.
